"Saria, what on earth are you doing here?" Link was over joyed and confused at the sight of his long lost friend. "Well, Mido was bugging me so I left and the Great Deku Tree granted me a....." Saria started to tell the story and decided she'd better leave the love part out. "Wait...your hair! Its longer! And your taller than before, I mean you look about 13 and....Oh my! Saria you didn't." Link stared in amazment as Saria nodded and told him about the Great Deku Tree. "Cool, this means that I have someone to talk to other than the guy that makes me chase chickens all day," a bright smile lit up Link's face. He showed Saria around the village. Later that night Link showed Saria his spot up on the roof top of the the carpenter's wife Penelope's house. Kakiriko was beautiful at night, you could see all the stars perfectly, alot better than in the forest. Even on top of the forest temple you couldn't make out the stars perfectly. Link stared at Saria for a moment who looked more beutiful then even and he put his arm around her. She smiled and leaned against him. Neither of them spoke about feelings or anything. Link was drifting off to sleep when he heard Sir West calling. He woke Saria up and took her to Penelope's house where she could stay. She waved as he walked to his 'home.' The word wasn't said and was barley thought, but Link knew it was true. He had a home. Kokiri forest would always be with him, but this is his home. Link smiled. He knew that now that Saria was here home really is where the heart is and his heart is now here. Link yawned and gave Sir West a respectful look and then curled up and went to bed. "Rise and shine lazy Link. It is time to wake," West stared at the once again sleeping boy and nudged him a bit. Lit stired a little and then went back to sleep. West went outside and came back in again and then squeezed the cucco a bit so it crowed on the top of its lungs. Link imediatly jumped up and gave West a mean look. Only to hear giggling coming from the back of the room. Saria inocently waved. "That was not funny," Link said getting up and realizing his hat was off and his hair was horrible. He quickly grabbed it and went into a room to get dressed. Saria sat on a bed waiting for him. "Hey, Link I just remembered that I brought you something," Saria reached into her large sack and pulled out a sword and its sheath. Link stared in amaziment as Saria handed him the gorgeous sword with the green emerald shining in the handle. "How did you get this away from Mido," Link looked skeptical and grateful at the same time. He was tired of the bulky sword West made him use. Saria just flashed him a smile. "Well, I took it and didn't tell him," "You mean, Mido doesn't know? He is going to slaughter you if he finds out," "Not if your the one holding it," Saria laughed. Link pretended to swing the sword at her and then he laughed too. Saria would get him into all kinds of trouble, more than he would get himself into, but sometimes it payed to have a partner in crime. She smiled at the young boy and ran outside, daring him to catch her. He quickly attached it to his back and ran after her. Link caught up with her and landed square on his face when he tried to tackle her. She leaned close and tried to help him up, Link grabbed he hand and threw her down with him. She giggled and then smiled and he did the same. Saria got up and brushed herself off and then looked over at Link with a frown on her face. Link smiled, because he hated to say it, but she looked funny when she was worried, her bright face would stay bright, but without the smile, it just didn't suit her to look sad. He got up and sat on a crate the montioned for her to do the same. She smiled. "What's the matter greenie?" Saria crinkled her nose she hated that name, Fado would always call her that. She sighed. "Well, I heard West talking about an aprentenship is what I need and when I asked him," she looked down at her feet. "What?" Link directed her attention back up to his eyes, Saria blushed a bit at his touch and didn't make too much eye contact. "He told me what it was and I can't do anything he suggested," Link smiled he knew Saria was talented and she had to be able to something. I mean she was better than him with the sling shot, and the bow, though he'd never admit it. "Like what?" "Sewing, cooking, and cleaning. Not only are those things boring I can't do them," Saria did a half fake pout. Link smiled. Saria wasn't the worst cook, but wasn't the best either and those were pretty boring jobs. Saria perked up a bit. "Are there any other houses?" "The only houses are the uncursed rich people, the windmill guy, and 'ha' the potion shop old hag," Saria perked up like a light bulb hit her. Link looked at her with worry and thought about it for a second. "Oh, no. No way you cannot even think about it Saria....Sar don not give me that look. Saria," Link threw his hands up in exasperation it was too late, she was gone looking for the potion shop. About an hour later Saria came back with a smile on her face. "So?" Link tried to read her face. "I got it, I am now an aprentice to Agatha," Link looked at her odd. "Thats her name stupid," Saria rolled her eyes. "I knew that," "Sure ya did," Link smiled and grabbed Saria and showed her the graveyard. 3 years passed and Link developed into a handsome hero fighting Ganondorfs minons and saving the princess and the castle. He devoled a slight crush on Malon, but her eyes turned to a handsome young stable boy Eric. Who eventually proposed and married the young maiden. Link turned his intersts on to Zelda who didn't take to well to it. In the end when Link reicived the master sword, was recognized as the hero of time, the sages were also recognized, and Zelda turned 16 she finally let Link court her, for as much as she hated to admit it she was lucky to have the most eligable man in hyrule court her. Link also spent the most time possible with Saria, not even relizing his feelings or hers and not spending as much time when Zelda finally gave in. Link ignored the growing Saria who had turned into a beautiful young woman. Her hair grew longer and was now to her upper back although she cut it a few days after she saw how long it grew. Her eyes were as bright as the stars and her lips were plush and rosy. She didn't show off her figure though, she wore plain green tunics and plain boots, she never wore dresses. The moment you laid eyes on her you could see there was something naturaly beutiful about her, but unfortunatly with most men it didn't hold against striking beauty as Zelda with her dresses and jewels and make-up and those things were only added to the princesses natural beauty. Link was wanted by many women and got a big head about it, but never noticed that the girl he used to only have eyes for still only had eyes for him. Saria became a fantastic potion shop worker and took over Agatha's shop. Saria hired a few workers and spent less time there unless she was really needed.
