Walkthroughs | Woodfall

A very special thanks to Zack Willis for writing this walkthrough.

Requirements: Bunny Hood (optional), Great Fairy's Mask
Things to Get: Dungeon Map, Compass, Hero's Bow, Stray Faries x15, Key x1

Floor 1F: Entrance Chamber
When you first enter this Temple, you'll be offset. This Temple is harder than the Forest Temple in OoT. Bottle the pink fairy in the vase. You will need it. Dive in the Deku Flower and fly to Fairy #1. Go back to the ledge and dive in again. This time go to your right and open up the chest. You now have Fairy #2. Get to the other side of the room by using the various Deku Flowers on the platforms. Don't worry if you fall off and down to the floor. Black Boes will attack you, but don't worry, they are very easy. When you get to the other side, ignore the 2 Big Skulltullas and go through the door.

Floor 1F: Central Room/Wooden Flower Room
In this room, there are 3 evil plants in poisonous water and a big wooden vase resembling the flowers. Take the left path and kill the Snapping Deku Baba to get Fairy #3. You can't proceed through the door because it's locked. Instead, go across the room as Deku Link using the flowers to jump on. Do not attempt to jump on the flowers as Normal Link!! They will try to eat him. Hen you get to the other side, hop across to the ledge on your right. Break all the vases to get Fairy #4, Hearts, Magic Bottles, Bombs, etc. Head back and go through the door.

Floor 1F: West Central Room
Hop across to the Deku Flower Pad, using one of the 4 flowers around it. Dive in and launch to you left to the chest. Open it up to get the Key. Look to your left and shoot down the brown thing. Put on the Great Fairy's Mask to get Fairy #5. Don't leave the room yet! Fly over to the other ledge and enter the door.

Mini Boss: Snapper Turtles
There are 2 ways to defeat these guys. One is to throw a bomb at them and hit them 3 time with the Kokiri Sword. The second way is burrow into a Deku Flower and launch up when they spin over top of you. Killing all 3 gains you the Dungeon Map! Go back to the locked door and open it.

Floor 1F: East Room
Push the Majora Block forward until it stops. Then go left. Shoot down the closest brown thing to get Fairy #6. Go to the ledge with the torch and fall the Big Skulltulla to get Fairy #7. Take the catwalk to your right and push the Majora Block back again. Go back to the torch and put on the Bunny Hood. Light a Deku Stick and go to the unlit torch on the opposite side of the room. Lighting it opens the door in front of you. Go in.

Floor 1F: Far East Room
Destroy both of the Dragonflies to get the Compass. Go back out and put the Bunny Hood on again. Light another Deku Stick and run up the stairs, lighting another torch as you go. Jump from platform to platform and burn the web. Kill both Deku Babas and go up the stairs.

Floor 2F: Central Room and Hallway
Go past the hallway, killing all the Black Boes, and more in the room. Doing this gets you a chest with Fairy #8. Light all the torches to open the door.

Floor 2F: East Room
Go from platform to platform flying as Deku Link. Beware of Dragonflies, they are an annoyance. When you get to the other side, go down the stairs. Go to your right and pop the bubble to get Fairy #9. Go back to the other side and step on the switch. This gives you access to the second and first floors easily! Go through the door behind you and go to the one on the right.

Mini Boss: Dinoflos Warrior
These guys make another appearance and are somewhat harder and easier than in OoT. Their Fire-Breath will kill Deku Link instantly, so become Normal Link. When you strike him, back up, because their Fire-Breath is unstoppable. Repeat, and the Hero's Bow is yours! Walk back out and shoot the eye switch. The Deku Flower platform will rise and fall. Get to the other side and prepare for another Mini Boss

Mini Boss: Gekko and Giant Snapper Turtle
Make sure you have at least 10 bombs. At first, it's only the Gekko. Jump attack and then slice him once more. He will then call a HUGE Snapper Turtle and ride him like Link rides Epona. Bomb the Turtle and Gekko will fall off. Hit him with an arrow. Repeat and get the Boss Key in the chest in the door opposite which you entered. Go back to the locked door room. Pop the Fairy's bubble and put on the Great Fairy's Mask. Exit and climb to the second floor using the ladders. Shoot an arrow through the torch to the shrine below. The wooden flower will open, so will the evil plants. The water and plants become good. Go back to the Deku Flower and launch to your left. Find a switch to your left, and step on it. Go back onto the spinning flower and shoot an arrow to the torch with the switch. A chest will appear. Open it. 11 Stray Fairies are now yours!

Floor 2F: Boss Chamber Entrance Room
Go into a room where there are a lot of ledges. Jump down and dive in the Deku Flower. Launch to your left and get the 2 Fairies up there (the second is one higher up than the other one). Go to your right in the same flower. Get Stray Fairy #14 from out of a bubble. Shoot an arrow with the Great Fairy's Mask on into one of the ledges with fire on it. Fairy #15 trapped in a bubble will come to you once it's freed. Shoot an arrow to the crystal switch. The fire will lower on both ledges. Dive in the Deku Flower and wait to you lower a little. Fly onto the ledge with a Big Skulltulla hanging above the roof. Dive in the Flower and go to the second ledge. Get in the Flower and launch onto the roof above and straight forward. Dive in and get to the ledge with a Boss Key Lock. Open and enter

Masked Jungle Warrior ODOLWA
This boss is very easy. When he lunges forward and swings his sword, sidestep and strike his legs. When he calls down giant bugs or a swarm of locust, pick up a bomb flower and throw it somewhere. They will follow because they love fire. Once in a while, Odolwa will start spinning. MOVE OUT OF HIS WAY. When he dies, pick up the heart container, and go to the portal. You will pick up Odolwa's remains. Then a cinema scene will happen, when Link learns the Oath to Order and meets and awakens the First Guardian. This is one of the four people Tael was talking about.

Deku Princess Rescue
When you come back, Tatl will apologize for what she did, say you did pretty good. She'll then ask you if you done what you just did before. We all know he has. Cut the reeds to get to the Deku Princess. She will get upset because her father is going to punish her monkey friend. Put her in a bottle :P When you exit, go back to the stand where you have to play the Sonata of Awakening. Dive in the Deku Flower and go to the cave looking entrance. This is the Great Fairy's Fountain. Return the fairies to get a power up. You'll see a chest on your map. It is by the entrance on a ledge. Use the Flowers and get to it. Open it to get a piece of a Heart Container. Go back to Deku Palace and let the Princess out in front of the King. They will free the monkey. He will say they have prepared some thing for you. Go outside and take the lilly pads to your left. When you get to the Deku Shrine, Put on the Bunny Hood.

Getting the Pig Mask
Requirements: Bunny Hood (optional)

Follow the Deku Scribe with the Bunny Hood on through the maze to get the Pig/Hog Mask. Although you don't need the Bunny Hood, I strongly suggest it. It is very tough to get this mask without the Bunny Hood
