Welcome to the revived Editorial section. Because these will be less forced and more open to discussion I hope that we'll all get a good kick out of these. I consider this a facet for all of my interests including (but not limited to) Zelda, Nintendo, Politics, News, and many other delightful and boring things. If you are a liberal bledding heart, or someone who hates to read, I'd turn away.

On The Agenda

Well, June and the beginning of July will be very hectic for me. On June 11 Final Exams will begin at my school until June 14th. As such, beginning June 8 or so, I will have to not update, or update barely, to focus on studying for those damned exams.

Then, on June 18th, I will go on a school trip to England/Scotland whcih will last until June 28th. During that time there will be no updates. After that I have a three day window or so to churn out updates until I go on a family trip to New Hampshire.

I'm sure you've noticed the incredible pace at which I've been working on the Oracle of Seasons Guide, and the much appreciated help from Atraiten with the Oracle of Ages Guide, so that it can all be done by June 7th or so. I have four walkthroughs left for Oracle of Seasons, and then I'll working on Oracle of Ages with a password from OoS. Please bear with us during this time, becuase I do not want my personal life to make the Colossus suffer.

When do people ever learn? Well, at least the common plagariser isn't as stupid as this guy was. He took original pictures from my Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons guides and put them on his site. Then, the buffoon emailed me, telling me that he took the pictures and hoped I didn't mind.

I checked out his site and noticed that he also stole the descriptions I added to my guides. Okay, I got a little angry, then I toured his site. Starting with the front page. Of course, the front page contained a marquee at the top with every sprite I have displayed on the site. What's more, he linked directly to the sprites on my server!

I hate plagarism, this being the fourth instance to my site. I have already emailed him with my warning. I have yet to recieve a reply, and as such, if I don't get a reply soon, I will contact freeservers and have him shut down. I do not tolerate plagarism. Both the hard made works of Sirius (our MIDI editor) and myself are constantly being taken by those too lazy and uncreative to make there own. I really do not want to get to the point where I have to label all my pictures like other sites do. It's unnecessary and too much work to curb such a limited problem.

However, my policy towards the material of this site reamins firm. All original creations and exclusive submissiosn are copyrighted by The Desert Colossus or (in the case of Sirius' MIDIs) the authors. We do not make claim to fan submissions. If you are caught with our copyrighted property you will be warned. You will three days to reply and comply, and once that time is up, I will have you shut down or I will sue you. It may seem harsh, but the law states that if I have knowledge of your copyright infringment and I do not do anything about it, I will lose my copyright. As such, I will go to such an extent.

Be smart, be creative, be kind. Don't plagarise.
