Welcome to the revived Editorial section. Because these will be less forced and more open to discussion I hope that we'll all get a good kick out of these. I consider this a facet for all of my interests including (but not limited to) Zelda, Nintendo, Politics, News, and many other delightful and boring things. If you are a liberal bledding heart, or someone who hates to read, I'd turn away.

Affiliates Galore

Maybe it's just me (as it always seems to be) but what the hell happened to the affiliate system?! Was it not in the good old days (three months or so ago) that a person would gather five or six of his closest chum-sites and they'd form a partnership if you will to draw more traffic? Well, now-a-days it seems every site has fourty or so affiliates! Not only that, but the affiliates are divided up in Power, Top, Normal, and Minor affiliates. Here's a logical question, if their site sucks, why do you affiliate with them? What's the point of taking an affiliate you'll just push to the very bottom of the list and force to take only your most frivolous and scroll happy visitors? If you'll notice, the affiliates we have are on one list are all placed in order of acceptance. I would never place someone to the bottom of the list because they aren't as popular as the last site.

I'd hate to preach from my high horse (or medium *grumble*) but I feel that a lesson in fairness is necessary here.

I hate Topsite lists, I really do. Why do I have them you might ask? Laziness perhaps, and a desire for traffic to my humble abode. Topsites defy logic for me sometimes, because they are just a way for the good sites to show off and the bad sites to feel bad. I remember that on the Lost Woods Topsites there was one site (God help me, I don't remember the name) which quickly rose to number 2 on the list. I went and visited and the first thing that struck me was that it was on Angelfire (which the best sites are NEVER on), the second being that it only got 19 page views a day. 19. Yet, somehow the Topsites recorded him with 2000+ page views a day. It boggles the mind. Not only that, the Project Zelda topsites kept resetting me, so I'd lose my prized place at number 3. I got fed up and now my only Topsite listing is at Zeldatop50.com. I prefer them because they are completely unbiased, not being a Zelda site themselves, and they count based on daily visitors, which counts out many forms of cheating. God bless them!

Two years after the history(story) of Majora's Mask, Link is called to Zelda's castle.Zelda doesn't feel well and reveals to link that she is holding a stronger type of ocarina.Worried, Link begins to investigate ancient parchments that reveal the ocarina is(can be used to open) a gateway between the real and spiritual world.Gaurding it is a legendary sword of war belonging to the bush of artifact.(artifact forest???)After a week link returns to zeldas castle for obvious reasons to explain what he had discovered,he cries desperatly when he finds zelda dying before him "the sword link...the sword....our strength rests upon the golden ocarina" A dying princess, and an in-imaginable adventure.

Zelda... die? Silly little man, Nintendo would never ever ever ever kill off a character other than the nameless and Ganon. It would horribly scar the little kiddies that make up the bulk of their demographic!

Whoever posseses the golden ocarina will be able to defeat the legendary sword of "almas" which blocks the doors to hell

Once again, very doubtable. Nintendo would never mention the word Hell, or the game would be banned so fast by every soccer mom in the states. Now you might say that a Quake-esque game has such a word, but please remember the rating and group that plays the game. And by the way, why would Zelda ever go to Hell? Did she strangle chickens as a side job or something?? In conclusion, I very much doubt the credibility of the article, which originated from a Brazillian gaming magazine. And also, I would not be surprised if said article debuted somewhere around the famous date of April 1^st...

I remember a very influential man once saying, "You can never appease a tyrant". Boy is that ever true. China has proven itself to be the modern day equivalent of Nazi Germany in the late 1930s. China has already annexed Tibet, much to the Tibetans' dislike, but do we say something? No. You know why? Because China is one of our biggest trading partners. China is preparing to invade Taiwan (which I predict will begin either the Sino-American War or World War III), an island which has never belonged to China. Before and after World War II it was a part of Japan's territorial holdings, and the natives are more Pacific Islander than Chinese! The only remnants of the Chinese are those that fled the mainland with Chiang Kai-Shek during the Civil War against Chairman Mao and the Communists. China is also building Missle Helicopter bases on the small islands in the South China Sea, a supply route that will be vital for Japanese and Taiwanese oil and trade in the future. Do we do anything? No, we continue to waste money in the Balkans, Europe (a remnant of the Cold War), and the Middle East (partially justified). Our military should shift focus and containment from the West to the East. I hope sincerely that President Bush considers that. Remember, you people might someday be among the millions of US Troops that pour across the Pacific to fight the Red Menace. It could even be your children! Even worse, it would be you that are forced to defend our borders from a 250 Million Chinese Soldier invasion. I just hope that America gets her act together...
